Benefits
Rapid access to the most up-to-date information

  • Immediate access to the most recent updates published by the UKHO and other National Hydrographic Offices. Updates are published alongside the renowned Admiralty Notice to Mariners Service and are available online at the same time as the update CD is despatched.
Cost effective
  • Transmission costs are minimised by downloading the minimum number of updates for a voyage, regardless of the size of the ship’s digital chart folio. Other charts are brought up-to-date when an update CD is received.
Easy to use
  • Fully compatible with all ECS and ECDIS that use ENCs or ARCS, the ECS or ECDIS is updated in the same way as using the weekly update CD. An intuitive user interface guides you through the process of selecting and downloading updates, which can then be transferred to your ECS or ECDIS on CD, USB memory stick or other media.
Flexible
  • Allows you to choose between using a direct web connection or email to obtain updates. The application can be installed on a computer with no Internet connection providing files can be transferred to another computer for emailing to the UKHO.
